During the cold, dark mornings of winter, it’s probably safe to say that a lot of us aren’t morning people. I for one hit the snooze button until the last possible second. That’s why I did a little research to figure out how to make mornings a little easier! Here are the top five tips I found! My favorite one is number 2: plan an outfit the night before. Such a time saver!
1. Set Only One Alarm
Waking up to one alarm is a nightmare already, but waking up to 10 different alarms is not beneficial. Set one alarm, and forego hitting the snooze button, and start your day off right. It gets easier every day you do this.
2. Plan Outfit Night Before
This is a game-changer. It saves so much time in the morning. Plus, I find it takes me like two minutes to chose an outfit the night before, but at least 10 in the morning. Not sure the logic behind that one. But I do know my mornings to be ten times smoother when I have my clothes set out the night before.
3. Have an Established Beauty Routine
Establish a beauty routine, and add something new to it at the end if you’re feeling like it. I usually mix up my look with a different shade of lipstick, Every day I use concealer, bronzer, blush, mascara, and a brow pencil. For my lips I will wear chapstick or lipstick, really just depends.
4. Set Up Coffee the Night Before
Since I have had my verismo, I really don’t have to set up my coffee. However, if you use a coffee pot or French press, it makes it so much quicker in the morning to have it set up the night before. Some brewers even have timers, so you can set the timer for when you wake up to have it brewing.
5. Make Your Bed
Lots of research shows that making your bed in the morning does so much for a person's mentality throughout the day. It makes you feel more productive and organized.
